Terrific experience with Powder Nomads
We’ve had an awesome, 200% worthy to repeat, not only skiing but food wise as well (which is important too of course), the first restaurant next to Medeu was way beyond anything we expected.Goes without saying, that if anyone asks us about our experience, we’ll recommend you like crazy. Incredible Splitboarding Experience in Almaty and Turgen
Our experience with Alex and the Powder Nomads team was nothing short of incredible. Communication with Darya was prompt and flexible while we were arranging our trip, and we were able to hire everything we needed directly from the crew. The gear was in good shape and held up perfectly well during our week.This was our first time splitboarding, but Alex was a knowledgeable and patient guide. We had full avalanche gear and always felt safe given Alex’s incredible knowledge of the area.We warmed up on some slopes closer to Almaty, but the highlight was of course our time in the yurt in Turgen/Alatau. Splitboarding up to the yurt, staying in splendid isolation, and hitting the mountain every day, was unforgettable. Even without the freshest powder, there was still plenty of untouched areas for us to ride. The mountain setting was stunning – an exceptional backdrop to the climbing and riding.I would highly recommend a backcountry trip in Kazakhstan, and Powder Nomads are the guys to book with – 5 star experience from start to finish. Thank you again Darya and Alex, and we hope to book with you again some time in the future.

Wir waren mit Alyona mehr als eine Woche unterwegs auf einer Rundreise durch das südöstliche Kasachstan. Die Tour war sehr vielseitig in Hinsicht auf Aktivitäten und Landschaft. Alyona organisierte einen Fahrer, der uns sicher über alle noch so uneben Pisten brachte- Wüste, Berge, Furten- alles kein Problem. Alyonas Flexibilität ermöglichte uns unkompliziert eine Planänderung, weil unser Gepäck nicht angekommen war und wir uns erst mit komplett neuen Klamotten eindecken mussten. Sie bemühte sich sehr, die Tour so informativ und interessant wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir erfuhren wirklich viel über Land, Leute, Geschichte und Landschaft, was diese Reise zu einer faszinierenden Erfahrung machte. Alyona hat diese Reise genau auf unsere Wünsche zugeschnitten. Wandern zum Shymbulak Gletscher, Reiten zum Kolsai Lake, Fahrt auf das Asy Plateau waren nur einige Highlights. Wir würden sofort wieder so eine Tour machen, es war traumhaft- Danke für diese tolle Erfahrung!!!!

Almaty Circuit Trek
We recently completed the 5-day "Almaty Circuit Trek" with Darya from Powder Nomads and it was truly an incredible experience. Darya's passion and extensive knowledge about the region made the trip exceptional. We had the opportunity to hike and camp in remote locations without encountering any other travelers. 5-day solo Ile Alatau Mountain Trek
I went on a 5-day solo trek in the Ile Alatau mountains with Powder Nomads and was not disappointed. Darya was very professional. Prior to the trek, she asked for my trekking experience and fitness level to make sure that the trek was suitable. I was guided by Oleg, who is a certified mountain guide and a total badass. The day before leaving for the trek, he came down to my hotel personally to ensure that all my gear and equipment was functioning and in good condition. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Powder Nomads, Darya, and Oleg. If you’re looking for professionalism, look no further!
